Mortgage Papers Signed!!!

We signed the mortgage papers! Yes we did it. We are officially applying for the actual loan to buy our house. I know this might seem a little wierd for me to be emphasizing, but, this was a big step for us (me in particular) and I am so happy this step along the journey to buying this house is over.

Thank you all for contacting me after my last post. So many of you had kind and encouraging words of wisdom, having gone down this path too. I especially want to thank my sister-in-law Cathy. She emailed me a wonderful letter and it really came at the most opportune time. A big hug of thanks to my Sis!

So, what's next? Well, we are supposed to hear this week about the appraisal. This is very important for us. We need the appraisal to come in at our price or above to be able to move forward to the closing day, which seems to me to be rapidly approaching. Our closing day is scheduled for August 28, the actual day we get the keys. We go in to sign the final papers and give them our monies a few days prior. So, Rob and I are once again asking all of you to pray for us. We need lots of patience still and even more wisdom to make the best choices as we move ahead on the path of home ownership.
